Monthly cargo turnover by Nika-Tera reached 1 mln t

Cargo turnover at the Sea Specialized Port Nika-Tera, a part of Group DF, reached 965 thou. t in August 2019.

This indicator exceeded the previous absolute record of monthly transshipment set in November 2018 by 123 thou. t or 12.7%.

In total, in January-August 2019, the port of Nika-Tera transshipped 5.36 mln t.

"Grains, legumes and oilseeds account for 68.7% of the total volume of transshipment," the report says.

The company noted that within eight months of the current year 272 vessels were serviced at the berths of Nika-Tera, 43 of which in August.

On August 19th of the current year the port crossed the 5 mln threshold of cargo turnover.
