Sunflower export from Ukraine in Jan-Nov reached USD 31.9 mln, key importers

In January-November 2019, Ukrainian export of sunflower reached 76.8 thou. t for the amount of USD 31.9 mln.

Under the data of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the key importers in the reporting period are as followed:

• Turkey — USD 14.54 mln (45.52%);
• the Netherlands — USD 2.49 mln (7.81%);
• Finland — USD 2.11 mln (6.61%);
• other countries — USD 12.73 mln (40.07%).

As of December 10th, harvesting of sunflower in Ukraine was conducted on 5.81 mln ha or 99% of the areas. The crop reached 14.6 mln t using the average yield of 2.51 t/ha.

Export prices for Ukrainian sunflower seeds on the domestic market increased by apx. USD 10 per ton.
