Sugar export from Ukraine in Jan-Nov valued at USD 83 mln

In the period of January-November 2019, beet sugar export from Ukraine totalled 229.91 thou. t for the amount of USD 82.77 mln.

Based on the data of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFSU), key importers in the reporting period are as followed:

• Azerbaijan — USD 19.29 mln (23.31%);
• Tajikistan — USD 7.46 mln (9.01%);
• Georgia — USD 5.32 mln (6.43%);
• others countries — USD 50.69 (61.25%).

World beet sugar production in 2019/20 is projected by the USDA at 4.37 mln t, 572 thou. t (13%) lower from the previous season (4.94 mln t).

Beet sugar production in Ukraine reached 1.366 mln t as of December 13.
