Mineral fertilizer import to Ukraine 3.2x higher from country's export
In January-March 2020, Ukraine imported 874.3 thou. t of mineral fertilizers worth USD 270.54 mln, while exports from the country stood at 269.1 thou. t valued at USD 51.18 mln. In physical terms, imports of fertilizers are 3.2x higher than exports, the State Customs Service of Ukraine reports.
Import volumes of mineral fertilizers in the reporting period:
- mineral or chemical nitrogen fertilizers: 363.1 thou. t worth USD 71.42 mln;
- phosphate mineral or chemical fertilizers: 8.78 thou. t, USD 1.86 mln;
- potash fertilizers mineral or chemical: 20.44 thou. t, USD 6.36 mln;
- NPK fertilizers: 481.9 thou. t, USD 190.9 mln.
Export volumes of mineral fertilizers in the reporting period:
- mineral or chemical nitrogen fertilizers: 266.8 thou. t, USD 55.58 mln;
- phosphate mineral or chemical fertilizers were not exported;
- potash fertilizers mineral or chemical: 776 t, USD 241 thou.;
- NPK fertilizers: 1.58 thou. t, USD 1.36 mln.
In late 2020, the Ukrainian agricultural enterprises procured 814.6 thou. t of mineral fertilizers or 111% of the demand.
