Grains transshipment facility to be constructed in Odesa region

Chernomorsk Specialized Grain Terminal plans the construction of a new specialized grain transshipment complex with the transport gallery reaching the berths No. 5-6.

Its impact on the environment will be assessed by the relevant authority, Chernomorsk City Council reports.

The operations of the transshipment complex include reception, storage and shipment of grains and oilseeds. Commodities will be supplied by motor and railway transport and unloaded in the intake pits of the receiving stations.

Under the YouControl analytical system, Cyprus-registered AMETHYSTOS CAPITAL INVESTMENTS LTD and Valentina Sharapayeva are founders of Chernomorsk Specialized Grain Terminal.

According to the report, the construction area will comprise 11,17 thou. sq. m, buildings 858 sq. m. It is planned to install in the territory of the complex:

  • four silo bins 16.36 thou. t each;
  • four silo bins 13.03 thou. t each;
  • six discharge hoppers 849 t each.

The nomenclature and average annual transshipment volumes of grain cargoes are as follows:

  • corn:1 mln t;
  • soybean: 50 thou. t;
  • wheat: 1 mln t;
  • sunflower: 50 thou. t;
  • rapeseed: 100 thou. t;
  • barley: 300 thou. t.

The designed capacity of the grain transshipment complex is 130 thou. t, reception of grains from motor transport 900 thou. t/year, reception of grains from railway transport 1.6 mln t/year. The total annual volume of transshipment is planned at the level of 2.5 mln t annually.

In the year 2019, the leaders of the TOP 10 largest companies in terms of grain storage capacity remained unchanged.
