Flour shipment from Ukraine up 11%

Flour export shipment from Ukraine since the start of 2019/20 has reached 332.3 thou. t. As of June 26, supplies of the product increased by 34.2 thou. t or 11.4% YoY, the data of the Directorate of Agrarian Sector Development of the Economy Ministry show.

Flour exports by types in the reporting period reached:

• wheat flour — 329.8 thou. t (33.1 thou. t or 11% more from the comparative period of 2018/19);
• other types of flour — 2.5 thou. t (1.1 thou. t or 79% more).

Flour exports in the 2018/19 season reached 301.4 thou. t vs. 413 thou. t in 2017/18.

By 2025 the volume of world flour consumption may increase by about 20 mln t compared to the current level and reach apx. 400 mln t.
