Ukraine's agribusiness VAT refund in 2020 made 4.2 bln UAH

The agricultural sector ("agriculture, forestry and fisheries") ranked 6th in the list of recipients of value-added tax (VAT) refunds in 2020 with UAH 4.2 bln, the Center for Public Finance and Public Policy Analysis of KSE informs.

The top 6 industries by VAT refund in Ukraine are:

• processing industry
• wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorbikes
• mining and quarrying
• transport, warehousing, postal and courier services
• supply of electricity, gas and air conditioning
• agricultural sector

In February 2021, the largest amount of VAT was refunded to ADM Ukraine, a subsidiary of Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM), UAH 1,072.1 mln.
