New crop crosses 30 mln t in Ukraine by October 27

As of October 27, grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine yielded 30.9 mln t on 7.7 mln ha, which is 70% of the planned area (2021: 81%, 12.9 mln ha), the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.

• wheat: 19.4 mln t on 4.7 mln ha (100%), avg. yield 4.12 t/ha
• barley: 5.6 mln t on 1.6 mln ha (100%), avg. yield 3.51 t/ha
• rapeseed: 3.2 mln t on 1.1 mln ha (100%), avg. yield 2.89 t/ha
• peas: 261 thou. t on 111.5 thou. ha (100%), avg. yield 2.34 t/ha
• millet: 98 thou. t on 42 thou. ha (95%), avg. yield 2.32 t/ha
• buckwheat: 149 thou. t on 109 thou. ha (93%), avg. yield 1.36 t/ha
• sunflower: 8.2 mln t on 3.7 mln ha (80%), avg. yield 2.19 t/ha
• corn: 2.7 mln t on 528 thou. ha (12%), avg. yield 5.07 t/ha
• soybean: 2.6 mln t on 1.1 mln ha (72%), avg. yield 2.36 t/ha
• sugar beet: 5.2 mln t on 105 thou. ha (59%), avg. yield 48.9 t/ha

Agriproducers in Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions harvested more than 2.5 mln t of the new crop on the reporting date. Vinnytsya, Kirovohrad and Khmelnytsky regions produced 2 mln t of grain each.

The highest yield of grains and legumes was produced in Khmelnysky region — 6.11 t/ha.

USDA projects wheat output in Ukraine in 2022/23 at 20.5 mln t, corn at 31.5 mln t, and sunflower at 10.5 mln t.
