Continental launches spring planting campaign 2023, expands buckwheat area
Continental Farmers Group (CFG) has started the spring crops planting campaign 2023. With favourable weather conditions, fieldwork is progressing ahead of schedule.

In total, 104.6 thou. ha was allocated for spring crops this year. This area represents apx. 54% of the company`s total landbank.

CEO of Continental Farmers Group
“We are already facing the second spring sowing in difficult conditions. But, just like last year, we are determined to carry out planned work in a high-quality and timely manner, sow all areas and collect a decent harvest on the fields. The company`s crop area has not changed in general, but at the same time, we pay attention to Ukraine`s food security, so this season, we have left important food crops like sugar beet and buckwheat in the crop structure. The area for the latter has been increased compared to last year — from 1.2 thou. ha to 3.9 thou. ha”
During this sowing, the company will use some of its own seeds, in particular for soybeans and buckwheat. Seed material for other crops has been purchased in full and has already been delivered to the company`s warehouses. Generally, CFG has all the necessary resources for the 2023 season: fuel and lubricants, PPP and fertilizers. The company`s machinery fleet is also fully equipped.
