russia targeted Odesa region port infrastructure

On the night of July 19, russia targeted the port and critical infrastructure of Odesa region with Oniks and Kh-22 missiles, the Operational Command South reports.

A grain and oil terminal was hit, reservoirs and loading equipment were damaged. Emergency service units are working on the site. No casualties have been reported.

The port infrastructure of international and Ukrainian companies Kernel, Viterra and CMA CGM Group was hit.

"In the port of Chornomorsk, 60,000 mt of grain was destroyed. This grain was to be shipped via the grain corridor 60 days ago," said Mykola Solskyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Preliminary estimates suggest that it will take at least 12 months to repair the damage, KernelUkraine says in a statement.

russia's missile attack put out of operation about 40% of the grain export infrastructure of Chornomorsk.

On July 11, russians attacked a port in Odesa region with Iranian Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. Debris from the downed drones set fire to two port terminals, including a grain terminal, said Oleh Kiper, head of Odesa Region Administration.
