Crop 2023: wheat harvest crosses 8 mln t in Ukraine

Early grains and legumes harvest in Ukraine was completed on 2.67 mln ha as of July 27. The crops yield 4.22 t/ha on average, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.

Farms have harvested 11.224 million tons of grain, including:

• wheat: 8.063 mln t on 1.816 mln ha (40%), the avg. yield 4.44 t/ha
• barley: 2.881 mln t on 730.8 thou. ha (51%), 3.94 t/ha
• rapeseed: 2.497 mln t on 931.3 thou. ha (68%), 2.68 t/ha
• peas: 280.1 thou. t on 113.3 thou. ha (79%), 2.47 t/ha

Farmers in Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv and Ternopil regions have completed harvesting peas.
