Ports in Ukraine unable to accumulate 20-50,000 tons of grain — Odesa governor
A considerable part of the port infrastructure in Odesa region's ports is destroyed, says the head of the Odesa Region Military Administration Oleg Kiper in an interview with Business.Censor.
"In this environment, I am grateful to the businesses that operate in the region and pay taxes. It's impossible to store 20-50 thousand tonnes of grain in a warehouse to load it when the ship comes. Everything works from the wheels, on the move, under fire, under air raid alerts. It takes three to five days to load a ship, not a day. But they do it and pay the demurrage," he said.
The Governor adds that the Ukrainian sea corridor is now open around the clock and there are days when there are 40-50 ships in a caravan.
