Growers in Ukraine plant winter crops on 44% of areas planned for 2025 crop

Winter crops planting in Ukraine for the 2025 harvest was completed on 2.75 million hectares as of September 30. As the Ministry of Agriculture reported, the winter grains and rapeseed campaign is in progress in all regions of Ukraine (controlled territory) despite severe drought.

Sown areas by winter crops as of September 30:

• rapeseed — 932.9 thou. ha
• wheat — 1.66 mln ha
• barley — 119.4 thou. ha
• rye — 34.8 thou. ha

For the 2024 harvest, winter crops covered 6.66 million hectares.
