TAS Agro starts wheat harvest in southern Ukraine, prepares for rapeseed
Ukrainian agricultural company TAS Agro has begun harvesting early grains with the threshing of winter wheat in its Southern cluster, having already harvested 600 hectares. The harvest started on schedule, and grain quality fully meets the standards, the company reported.
Oleg Zapletniuk
CEO of TAS Agro
“This year, the company’s own machinery — upgraded over the past few years — will be used as much as possible. However, we will also rent harvesters when it makes economic sense. Overall, we plan to involve 75 units of grain harvesting equipment in the campaign. This is more than last year, as the sowing area of early grains has increased, particularly in the Southern cluster. Nearly all of our own grain carts will also be engaged”
For the 2025 harvest, TAS Agro planted 22,000 hectares of winter wheat, 14,000 hectares of winter rapeseed, 16,000 hectares of sunflower, 15,000 hectares of soybeans, and 7,000 hectares of corn.
Soon, the Southern cluster will begin rapeseed harvesting in parallel with wheat. Over the coming weeks, the harvest campaign will extend to the company’s other clusters.
