Dry port for bioethanol and vegetable oil to be built in Zakarpattia
A dry port with a multimodal terminal for liquid cargo is planned on the outskirts of the village of Horonda in Zakarpattia Oblast. The project is initiated by the Poltava-based Nadezhda energy group, which plans to partially relocate its operations to Zakarpattia, Zaxid.net reports.
The project includes the construction of a 19-hectare facility for transshipment of light petroleum products, bioethanol, vegetable oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Cargo will be transported by both rail (wide-gauge from Mukachevo and narrow-gauge from Strabychovo) and road.
The terminal will also include an oil depot equipped with a facility to blend bioethanol with gasoline.
The projected annual capacity of the complex is 300,000 tons, including 200,000 tons of bioethanol, diesel, gasoline, and vegetable oil. The remainder will be allocated for LPG.
The project is being implemented by Nadezhda LLC, which has already obtained the necessary urban planning permits. It will become the third dry port in the area.
The Nadezhda Group operates more than 80 fuel stations across Ukraine and manages several oil depots and gas filling stations. Its beneficiaries are Serhii Samikov, Viktor Batrachenko, and Stanislav Batrachenko. The company employs up to 1,500 people, and its 2023 revenue amounted to UAH 9.1 billion.
