Ukraine harvests 15.4 mln t of grain as pace lags behind 2024
As of August 1, 2025, growers in Ukraine harvested 15.4 million tons of early grain and leguminous crops. This year’s harvest is progressing more slowly, with only 39% of the targeted area threshed, compared to 55% on the same date last year, according to data from the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.
Specifically:

Wheat: 3 million hectares harvested, 11.3 million tons collected, yield — 3.72 t/ha;

Barley: 1 million hectares harvested, 3.5 million tons collected, yield — 3.52 t/ha;

Peas: 208.2 thousand hectares harvested, 492.2 thousand tons collected, yield — 2.36 t/ha.
Farmers in Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions have begun threshing millet, collecting 83 tons from 1.2 thousand hectares.
Rapeseed has been harvested from 781.9 thousand hectares, with 1.7 million tons collected. The average yield stands at 2.2 t/ha.
