VILIA launches early winter rapeseed sowing to make use of soil moisture
Three out of seven farming units of VILIA have launched the winter rapeseed sowing campaign, the company’s press service reported.
Five seeding complexes have been deployed, with a total of 9.4 thousand hectares allocated for the crop.
“We started sowing on August 5 — which is quite early — because the weather forecast indicates no precipitation in the near future. While there is still sufficient soil moisture, we’re moving quickly to ensure uniform and high-quality emergence of winter rapeseed,” said Serhii Balachuk, agronomy technologist.
