Vessel traffic temporarily restricted at Chornomorsk port waters
Vessel movement in the waters of Chornomorsk seaport has been temporarily restricted due to heightened risks stemming from russia’s military actions, according to a letter from the Chornomorsk Port Authority to shipping agents, tugboat companies, and port operators seen by Latifundist.com.
Based on a notice from the military command dated September 1, 2025, “special measures to ensure navigation safety” are planned in the port waters and approach channel, which may lead to restrictions on vessel traffic.
The Port Authority also urged shipping agents and companies to notify the Coordination Center in advance of vessels’ departures and confirm they have no claims regarding potential restrictions.
Commenting to Latifundist.com, freight broker and founder of MB Navigation S.A., Kostiantyn Sobol, said that ship captains must send a letter confirming they acknowledge the risks when entering Chornomorsk port.
