Zavod Kobzarenko's Polish facility produces 9 times less farm machinery annually than in Ukraine

Zavod Kobzarenko currently manufactures about 200 units of agricultural machinery per year at its factory in Poland, compared with 1,800 units in Ukraine, company owner Dmytro Kobzarenko told Latifundist.com.

“In Ukraine, our production area is 35,000 sq. m, while in Poland it is just 9,000 sq. m. In terms of output, the Polish facility produces 200 units annually, compared with 1,800 in Ukraine. So the Polish plant is a rather small enterprise. Financially, the split is the same. The plant cannot cover all export demand but gives clients an opportunity to assess production processes and quality standards,” he said.

According to Kobzarenko, most of the workforce at the Polish facility are Ukrainians.

“Roughly 80% are Ukrainians, including women in pre-painting preparation, while 20% are local Polish workers. The office is different — it requires knowledge of tax rules, labour safety standards, and other local specifics, so there are fewer Ukrainians there. Overall, the Polish facility employs 58 people,” he added.
