€20 million investment: Feednova begins construction of new feed plant in Cherkasy region

Construction has begun on the Feednova Center plant in Ukraine’s Cherkasy region, which will produce high-protein feed additives and animal fats. The total investment exceeds €20 million, with the first stage valued at €14.4 million, according to the company’s press service and the Ministry of Economy.

The majority investor is EFI Group, together with strategic partners from the Netherlands and Denmark. The facility will be the second Feednova-branded plant after the successful launch of its first site in Lviv region in 2021. Over 80% of production will be exported to the EU and Asian markets.

The project will create over 80 jobs, process fresh animal by-products, and implement European GMP+ and ISCC standards. It will also be the first facility in central Ukraine to process raw materials from external suppliers.

“We have completed the plant design and selected the general contractor. Site preparation has now started. Our technological solutions will make this facility a benchmark for the industry. The plant will feature multi-stage systems for cleaning exhaust air and wastewater, ensuring zero environmental impact,” said Samvel Ramazyan, Director of Feednova Center.

The enterprise will include four production lines capable of processing more than 150 tons of raw materials per day and producing over 50 tons of finished products — meat-and-bone, feather, and blood meal, as well as animal fats.

Feednova Center will provide collection, transportation, preparation, and processing services for animal by-products unsuitable for human consumption. The plant will process fresh livestock by-products rather than waste. Raw materials will come from meat processors, poultry farms, slaughterhouses, and livestock producers in central Ukraine.

The plant is scheduled to launch in Q3 2026.

It will receive state support in the form of compensation for engineering and transport infrastructure costs totalling UAH 172.1 million. The signing of the investment agreement between the company and the state is expected soon.
