A €4 million potato flakes plant planned in Volyn region

Volyn Smart Agro Cluster is preparing a project to build a plant for the production of dry potato puree (potato flakes), LIGA.net reports.

The company has already received a commercial offer from a European investor, with details to be announced after the Rebuild Ukraine conference in Warsaw on November 14, where the project will be officially presented.

“The competition will now be not among potato growers, but among processors — including the Chernihiv-based company Levona, Nestlé (Mivina brand), and the Japanese-Vietnamese enterprise MAREVEN FOOD UKRAINE,” the publication notes.

The estimated cost of the plant is up to €4 million.
