Corn accounts for over 80% of grain exports in January

In January 2026, Ukraine exported 5 million tons of agricultural products, down 0.8% month on month. At the same time, grain exports increased, while shipments of other product categories declined. Corn remains the key export commodity, according to the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB).

Grain exports totalled 3.4 million tons, up 13% compared to the previous month. Within the export structure, corn accounted for 83%, while wheat made up 16%.

Exports of oilseeds fell to 351.7 thousand tons (–32%). Soybeans accounted for the largest share at 63%, followed by rapeseed at 35% and sunflower seed at 1%.

Vegetable oil shipments decreased to 479.7 thousand tons (–6%). Sunflower oil dominated exports with an 82% share, followed by rapeseed oil at 10% and soybean oil at 7%.

Exports of oilseed meal declined by 32% to 411.0 thousand tons. Sunflower meal accounted for 73% of volumes, while soybean meal made up 27%.

Other agri-food products were supplied to foreign markets in the amount of 349.9 thousand tons, which is 15% less than in December.
