Pasta production from Ukrainian flour launched in Ghana

Pasta made from Ukrainian flour has been launched in Ghana. The project is being implemented as part of the first international agri-food hub that Ukraine is developing jointly with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the Ministry of Economy reported following a meeting with WFP representatives.

The first regional agri-hub is planned to be rolled out in Ghana. Reconstruction of warehouse and production facilities is already underway, and local pasta production using Ukrainian flour has been established.

The finished food kits will combine Ukrainian and locally sourced products and will be used for rapid response to food crises.

“We have already moved to practical steps in launching the first hub in Ghana and plan to scale this initiative to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the UAE. This model allows us to simultaneously support Ukrainian farmers and help countries of the Global South address food crises,” said Economy, Environment and Agriculture Minister Oleksii Sobolev.

In December 2025, Ukraine and Ghana signed a memorandum on establishing a Ukrainian food processing and distribution center in West Africa.
