Russia strikes Odesa region ports — vegetable oil tanks catch fire, grain warehouse damaged

Port infrastructure in Odesa region was damaged during a massive overnight Russian attack, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority reported on the Telegram messaging app.

Following the strike, fires and damage were recorded at cargo storage facilities, including tanks used for storing vegetable oil, as well as administrative and technical buildings. Damage to portside infrastructure across the region has also been reported. Ports continue operating while taking the security situation into account.

Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba said that the strikes caused a fire in vegetable oil storage tanks and damaged a grain warehouse. No casualties were reported. Port infrastructure was also damaged at another port facility.
