Russian strike damages two bulk carriers in Odesa region ports
On the night of 20 March, Russia attacked the Odesa region port infrastructure with strike UAVs. Two civilian commercial vessels sailing under the flags of Palau and Barbados were damaged, said Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksii Kuleba.
Two people were injured and received medical assistance. At the time of the strike, the vessels were moored at berths and loaded with grain. Despite the damage, both vessels remain afloat, Kuleba noted.
Administrative buildings were also damaged. A fire broke out on the premises, but emergency services promptly contained it. Response teams are continuing efforts to deal with the aftermath at the site.
