China officially opens its market to Ukrainian peas, with exports currently approved for two companies
China has opened its market to Ukrainian peas following an audit, Ukraine’s State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection reported.
The Chinese side inspected the operating conditions of Ukrainian enterprises as well as their laboratory control capabilities. Based on the results, Ukraine received official authorization to export peas to China.
So far, China has registered two Ukrainian companies eligible to supply peas to this market. These companies participated in the audit and fully comply with the bilateral protocol requirements.
At the same time, Ukraine has already identified companies planning to operate in the Chinese market: the list of exporters includes three enterprises, while another four companies are growing peas specifically for shipments to China.
