27 Ukrainian plants started sugar season

In Ukraine, as of September 23, processing of sugar beet began 27 sugar plants.

This is reported by Ukrsugar.

On September 22, the Pervukhino sugar refinery, and on September 23, the Signet Center (sugar factory named after Tsurupa) and Tsukoragroprom (a branch of the Globin Sugar Factory) started sugar production.

As of September 25, 185.9 thousand tons of sugar were produced and 1.463 million tons of sugar beet was processed.

Let us remind, that the association Ukrsugar forecasts 46 sugar plants to work in 2017/18 MY. Projected production of sugar remains at the same level — 2 million tons.
