AMCU should complete the investigation of Ostshem abuses by the end of 2017

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) is conducting an investigation into the abuse of the monopoly position in the fertilizer market by the Ostshem group of companies, which will be completed by the end of 2017.

This is reported by the Chairman of the AMCU Yuri Terentyev in the interview for AgroPolit.com.

He added that the Interdepartmental Trade Group is conducting the investigation into the introduction of anti-dumping duties.

"These two processes conflict with each other, because Ukrainian producers say that their activities make it difficult for dumping imports from Russia. Therefore, the AMCU analyzed the situation on the Ukrainian fertilizer market, formed the results of the investigation and sent it to market entities. Now we are studying the situation further," Yury Terentyev says.

The AMCU confirmed the abuse of monopoly position in the market of the main types of nitrogen fertilizers from Rivneazot, Severodonetsk association Azot, NF Trading Ukraine, which are part of the Ostchem group of companies.
