Latvia can lease locomotives to Ukraine
The Latvian Railway is ready to lease unused locomotives to Ukraine.
This was stated by Taiwans Gunars, the Director of the production of the LDz Rolling Stock Service, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, the Latvian Railway has free locomotives because local locomotives with the capacity of 6 thousand hp are more interesting to local freight operators.
"Since we are the rolling stock service, we own the cargo transportation capacity. I think we could lease it to Ukraine, until you solve your problems with logistics. We are ready," said Taiwans Gunars.
