Global coarse grain production forecast for MY 2017/18 increased to 1.3 billion tons
According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) forecasts, the global production of coarse grain in MY 2017/18 should increase by 1.37 million tons and will make up 1.32 billion tons.
Coarse grain production will decrease by 42.4 million tons in comparison to MY 2016/17 (1.36 billion tons).
The volume of global coarse grain exports in MY 2017/18 is projected at 188.51 million tons, which is 1.35 million tons more than the forecast for November and 14.68 million tons less than in MY 2016/17 (203.19 million tons).
According to USDA analysts, the volume of coarse grain imports in MY 2017/18 will make up 182.85 million tons, which is 1.28 million tons more than the forecast for November and 7.73 million tons more than the volume in MY 2016/17 (175.12 million tons).
