Only 46 elevators in Ukraine can provide an exit route — Gorbachev

Only 46 Ukrainian elevators of more than a thousand can provide an exit route. This was stated by Nikolai Gorbachev, President of the Ukrainian Grain Association, during the press conference Ukrzaliznytsya endangers the export of Ukrainian grain.

He noted that these elevators do not cover the entire territory of Ukraine.

"It turns out that in some regions grain is not transported for weeks, though the cars are loaded. We ask Ukrzaliznytsya not to ignore the regions that do not have such an opportunity. The situation is particularly complicated in Western Ukraine," Nikolai Gorbachev stressed.

It was previously reported that Ukrzaliznytsya does not plan to build grain hopper cars in 2018.
