Forecast for global grain production in 2017/18 decreased 2 MT

The forecast for global grain production in 2017/18 is reduced by 2 million tons to 2.092 billion tons, International Grains Council (IGC) reports.

It is noted that global grain production should decrease by 48 million tons as compared to 2016/17.

Global grain trade is projected at 362 million tons, which is 10 million tons more than in 2016/17, and by 1 million tons exceeds the previous forecast.

Reference: gross output of crop production in 2018 is forecasted at the level of UAH 179.8 billion, which is 0.6% more than the previous year.
