Half of agriproducers sowed new varieties of winter rapeseed during the sowing campaign 2018

A half of Ukrainian agriproducers sowed new varieties of winter rapeseed during the sowing campaign 2018, APK-Inform writes.

It was established that the average cultivation duration of rapeseed varieties and hybrids in the sampled area is 2 years. At the same time, more than 70% of the respondents are satisfied with the quality and price of the seed.

Only 6% of the surveyed agriproducers continue growing rapeseed varieties and hybrids for more than 4 years.

Reference: analysts project an increase in the area under oilseeds to 9.3 million hectares in 2018/19. There has been an increase in the sown areas under oilseeds by 20% over the past 5 years.
