Harvesting campaign 2018 started in 8 regions of Ukraine

As of June 25, agrarians of Kirovograd and Zakarpattia regions started harvesting of grain crops. Earlier, harvesting in Nikolaev, Odessa, Kherson, Zaporozhye, Dnipropetrovsk and Vinnytsia regions began.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine informs that 1.72 million tons of new crop grains have already been harvested from 559 thou. hectares with the productivity of 3.07 tons per hectare.

The volumes of harvested crops are as follows:

• winter wheat — 0.55 million tons from 185 thou. hectares (with the productivity of 2.98 tons/ha);
• winter barley — 1.14 million tons from 355 thou. hectares (3.2 tons/ha);
• peas — 0.029 million tons from 19 thou. hectares (1.56 tons/ha).

Winter rapeseed harvesting started in Zaporozhye, Odessa, Kherson, Nikolaev, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Vinnytsia regions. The crop is threshed on the area of 75 thou. hectares. 130 thou. tons have already been threshed with the productivity of 1.74 tons/ha.
