Nika-Tera handled over 500k tons of cargo in August 2018

Sea Specialized Port Nika-Tera (Mykolaiv), which is a structural division of Group DF, in August 2018 handled 507 thou. tons of cargo. The enterprise proceeded a record amount of bulk cargo in the volume of 207 thou. tons.

The proceeded cargo structure is as follows:

  • grains — 57%;
  • bulk cargo — 41%;
  • chemical and mineral fertilizers — 2%.

"SSP Nika-Tera continues to search for new niches and expand the range of cargoes, in particular, new contracts have already been signed for transshipment of meal, wheat granulated bran and soybean. The port is increasing the capacity for transshipment of these crops, the first lots of which are already being accepted and by the end of September a record transshipment is planned," Deputy Head of the Port, Commercial Director Valery Salnikov says.

Previously it was reported that as of August 29, 2018, Nika-Tera provided for the transshipment of 3 million tons of cargo.
