ROSTOK-HOLDING sustained UAH 130 mln loss as a result of raider attack

ROSTOK-HOLDING Group conducts an international audit of losses as a consequence of a raider attack for the period from October 8, 2018. The total company's losses are estimated at least UAH 130 million.

The company notes that this is both yield losses and deterioration in the quality of corn due to the forced delay of field works. It is also an extra cost for storing grain in plastic bags since the work of the elevators was blocked. In addition, international contracts have been interrupted, which provides for penalties due to unfulfilled obligations to suppliers and buyers.

“According to preliminary estimates, the amount of losses from a raider attack is at least UAH 130 million. The international audit company is involved. Thus, we will receive an independent assessment, which we will present in court in order to receive compensation from the state,” said Valeriy Laskov, the CEO of the Group.

In the meantime, jurists and lawyers of ROSTOK-HOLDING Group applied to the higher authorities, in particular, the High Council of Justice and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.

In recent months, ROSTOK-HOLDING Group is subject to active raider attacks. In September 2018, a number of invited papers were published aimed at undermining the authority of the Group and its shareholders. Criminal proceedings have been opened against the company, but none of the enterprises was informed of it or the taking of investigative actions. However, within the opened proceedings, measures were applied to the enterprises of ROSTOK-HOLDING in the form of assets arrest, ban on harvesting and trading.
