Sowing Online 2019/20: winter rapeseed campaign approaches 0.5 million hectares

Agriproducers in 22 regions of Ukraine have started winter rapeseed sowing campaign for the harvest 2020.

By the data of the Sowing Online 2019/20 Project, as of August 21st, 481 thou. ha or 45% of the forecast (2018: 459 thou. ha) are sown.

Rapeseed campaign has not yet stared in Luhansk and Zakarpattya regions.

As of August 21st, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was carried out on the area of 10 million hectares or 65% of the forecast. The crop reached 38.9 million tons using the average yield of 3.9 tons per hectare.
