Grain logistics on the Dnieper intensified 1.5x in 2019

The volume of grain cargoes transportation on the Dnieper grew by 54.3% to 4.852 mln t in the year 2019, Ports of Ukraine informs.

The total volume of transportation of the main cargoes on the Dnieper in 2019 increased by 19.1% y-o-y up to 11.794 mln t.

At the same time, the number of ship passages along the Dnieper decreased by 26.9%, or by 4.407 to 11.983 ship passages.

Previously reported that in H1 2019/20, the pace of wheat exports from Ukraine should subside and thus it will be lower than in H1 2018/19.
