Ukraine to cut wheat export in 2019/20

In H1 2019/20, the pace of wheat exports from Ukraine will subside and thus it will be lower than in H1 2018/19, Kurkul.com reports.
As informed by the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, in the period of July-December 2019, the export of wheat from Ukraine exceeded last year's figures. According to experts' forecasts, in January-May 2020, grain shipment should be lower from the prior year's relevant period. In June, wheat trade is expected to increase.
In 2018/19, exported volume reached 15.98 mln t. In the current marketing year, wheat supply from Ukraine is projected at 20.01 mln t.
As a reminder, the high rate of grain export today preserved in Ukraine is facilitated by the railway logistics.
