Netherlands dominate Ukrainian chicken meat exports in 2019

In the year 2019, Ukraine delivered to foreign markets 414.49 thou. t of chicken meat and edible poultry co-products, 26% more from the prior year's exported volume — 328.97 thou. t.

Under the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine (SCSU), in monetary terms, export in the reporting period is valued at USD 578.63 mln, 14% more from 2018 — USD 506.61 mln.

The key markets for Ukraine in the reporting period are as followed:

• the Netherlands — 78.3 thou. t, USD 109.32 mln, 18.89%;
• Saudi Arabia — 68.93 thou. t, USD 96.2 mln, 16.63%;
• Slovakia — 43.23 thou. t, USD 60.33 mln, 10.43%;
• other countries — 224.1 thou. t, USD 312.78 mln, 54.06%.

Previously reported that chicken meat exports by MHP in 12M 2019 increased by 25% year-on-year to 357.43 thou. t (12M 2018: 286.75 thou. t).
