NIBULON branches started spring crops sowing
Production branches of NIBULON have started spring crops sowing campaign 2020. Corn has been sown on 1.5 thou. ha of the planned 17.8 thou. ha, sunflower 5.5 thou. ha of the planned 21.3 thou. ha.
Kamyanets’-Podil’s’ka Branch in Khmelnytsky region has 100% completed sunflower sowing. Prybuzhanivs'ka Branch in Mykolaiv region has finalized corn planting. NIBULON plans to complete all spring field works in the tightest possible time.
"Spring crops yields depend on spring rains. During the winter period, a critically low amount of moisture accumulated in the soil and the current rainfall will affect the formation of the crop more than ever," said Deputy CEO for agricultural production Konstantin Khmelnytsky.
According to the survey results, almost all crops wintered well, 33.9 thou. ha of winter crops are developing, including 29.1 thou. ha of wheat, 1.6 thou. ha of barley and 3.2 thou. ha of rapeseed.
