Grain stocks in Ukraine reduced 16%

As of April 1, 2020, stocks of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine totalled 13.506 mln t, which is 2.564 mln t less from the corresponding period last year.

Provided by the data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, stock volumes by crops equalled:

• wheat: 4.075 mln t;
• corn: 7.717 mln t;
• barley: 1.259 mln t;
• rye: 68.2 thou. t.

Sunflower stocks in the reporting period amounted to 4.232 mln t.

As of the reporting date, 7.743 mln t of grain and leguminous crops were stored at agricultural enterprises, and 5.763 mln t at processing and storage facilities.

Previously reported that in the week of Apr. 11-17, grain export shipment in Ukrainian sea ports reached 992 thou. t, 15% lower from the previous week (1.17 mln t, as provided by the figures updated).
