Season 2019/20 flour export outpacing the previous one

Flour export shipment from Ukraine since the start of 2019/20 has reached 314.8 thou. t. As of June 3, supplies of the product increased by 45.2 thou. t or 16.7% YoY.

Provided by the data of the information-analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine, flour exports by types in the reporting period reached:

• wheat flour — 312.6 thou. t (44.2 thou. t or 16.5% more from the comparative period of 2018/19);
• other types of flour — 2.2 thou. t (1 thou. t or 83% more).

Flour exports in the 2018/19 season reached 301.4 thou. t vs. 413 thou. t in 2017/18.

By 2025 the volume of world flour consumption may increase by about 20 mln t compared to the current level and reach apx. 400 mln t.
