UAE imported 39% less Ukrainian flour

August flour exports from Ukraine made up 16.3 thou. t, 14% lower from July and 29% lower from August 2019/20, the UkrAgroConsult consulting agency writes.

Since the beginning of the season, the export of Ukrainian flour has reached 35.25 thou. t, 28% lower YoY.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) remains the key importer of Ukrainian flour: in July-August, the UAE purchased 9.6 thou. t, 39% less from the comparative period of the previous season.

China has also cut its imports in the current season by 72%, Palestine by 41%.

Flour exports to Singapore, Israel, Somalia, Moldova, Mozambique and Venezuela increased.

As a reminder, the Economy Ministry reported that flour export shipment from Ukraine totalled 48.6 thou. t as of Sep. 30.
