Egg exports from Ukraine 22% lower in 2020

Birds' eggs export shipment from Ukraine amounted to 106.8 thou. t in Jan-Dec 2020, 22% lower YoY (2019: 137.08 thou. t), the data of the State Customs Service show.

In monetary terms, shipment totalled USD 97.3 mln vs. USD 111.9 mln in 2019.

Key importing countries in the reporting period:

• U.A.E.: 36.57 thou. t, USD 29.81 mln (34% of the total supply)
• Saudi Arabia: 20.19 thou. t, USD 22.48 (19%)
• Latvia: 10.74 thou. t, USD 11.11 mln (10%)
• Liberia: 6.71 thou. t, USD 5.52 mln (6%)
• Qatar: 5.17 thou. t, USD 4.32 mln (5%)

Previously reported that the company Ovostar Union received USD 3.76 mln of net profit for the nine months ended 30 September 2020, 44% higher YoY (9M 2019: USD 2.6 mln).
