Flax processing plant to be constructed in Western Ukraine

A flax processing plant is planned for construction in Western Ukraine, in Lviv region. The facility's main activity is receiving raw flax, its processing and the subsequent dispatch to customers, who will produce ecological, linen fabric from the raw material.

"There are plans to build greenhouses on the plant's premises, solar panels will be installed on the roof of the storage buildings. Drying equipment will run on different types of fuel. Flax seeds will also be used to produce oil," report the local authorities.

The flaxseed processing plant will create 80-90 new jobs.

Previously reported that a berries processing plant was to be built in Rivne region in 2021-24. The plant will create 12 jobs.
