Russia claims Ukraine mines shipping routes to Odesa

Russia mined the recommended routes from the Bosphorus to Odesa and stated that they were Ukrainian mines, BlackSeaNews editor-in-chief Andrii Klymenko posted on Facebook.

According to him, this is yet another dangerous disinformation on the enemy's part. He added that on 18 March the seaport of Sochi had sent a warning to ship owners and captains of vessels in the region about the threat of "mines of the Ukrainian navy adrift in the Black Sea".

The relevant warning was signed by Vyacheslav Rumyantsev, captain of the Sea Port of Sochi.

"This warning aims to prevent maritime traffic of commercial vessels in the Black Sea. It necessitates the immediate deployment of the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group in the Black Sea!" stresses Andrii Klymenko.

According to BlackSeaNews sources, the Russian Black Sea Fleet has been mining the recommended routes of commercial vessels from the Bosphorus to Odesa, covering it with lies about "Ukrainian mines pulled off by a storm". The publication stressed that it is impossible to count drifting mines in a stormy sea since only those who placed them can do so.
