World market run short of 20 mln t of Ukrainian agri-food products after russia's invasion
The world market for agricultural products lost access to 20 mln t of Ukrainian agri-food products following russia's invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022, the data of the Centre for Strategic Communication and Information Security under the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine shows.
In the period March-August 2022, Ukraine delivered to foreign markets around three times less farm products than it was originally planned.
"Ukraine is ready to fulfil its commitment to global food security. But the world has to help us stop russia's offensive," the message reads.
Since the start of 2022/23, staple grains export from Ukraine has almost halved.
