NIBULON starts corn and soybean harvest

NIBULON has launched the harvesting campaign for late grains. The season began at the Chyhyryn branch in Cherkasy region, where corn is being harvested across 9,500 ha, the company’s press service reported.

Despite challenging weather conditions during the growing season, corn yields in the region reached 7 t/ha. NIBULON expects a total corn harvest of 180,000 t from 22,500 ha. As of today, 2,000 ha have been harvested, with 8 combines and 70 grain trucks engaged.

Soybean harvesting has also started in the Khmilnyk and Kamianets-Podilskyi clusters, where 500 ha have been threshed with an average yield of 3.2 t/ha. The total soybean area under harvest there is 9,600 ha, with 12 combines and 40 grain trucks in operation.

Immediately after harvest, soil preparation is carried out for the 2026 sowing campaign, prioritizing Strip-till and deep loosening practices.

“Overall, 2025 has been a difficult year for farming. This year’s weather, particularly the lack of productive rainfall in central and especially southern Ukraine, did not favour record yields. Since the beginning of the year, only 220 mm of precipitation has been recorded in the Chyhyryn area, much of which was ineffective for providing corn with sufficient moisture, especially during critical growth stages,” the company noted.

NIBULON applies resource-saving technologies, including reduced tillage, early sowing, and the careful selection of corn hybrids with FAO 220–250, which are highly drought-resistant and have fast moisture release during ripening.
