Corn export from Ukraine has grown by 11%

During the period from October 1, 2016 to May 1, 2017 Ukraine has exported 15, 018 million tons of corn. This value is by 10,8% higher compared with the same period of previous season.

It was informed by Zerno On-Line.

Export potential makes up 3,482 million tons, which is by 26,7% more than there remained in the end of previous season.

The highest volume importers of Ukrainian corn in the season of 2016/17 (in descending order) are: Egypt, Iran, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Israel, Tunis, Portugal, South Korea and Libya.

Annual quota of European Union for duty-free import of Ukrainian corn (450 thousand tons) run out totally in the very first week of 2017.
